Jo Manning enjoyed a long career as a librarian before a bit of research inspired her to write her first Regency romance, based on some of the real-life characters she had come to know. She has been a reviewer for Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, and Educational Media Reviews Online, as well as a contributor to popular periodicals and library journals.

Jo lives in Miami Beach, Florida. When she isn't writing or researching her next book, she enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking.

Jo has begun a new Regency novel, Courting Chloe Brown, the sequel to Seducing Mr. Heywood, and continues to work on her next non-fiction book proposal.
